There are many differences as well as similarities between the movie Hamlet and the book Hamlet. To start with the differences, in the movie the wedding of Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, and his uncle, Claudius, is shown and spoken about, while in the book, nothing is spoken about it besides the fact that it was only a month after the death of Hamlet's father, King Hamlet. Then to the similarities, in the movie the ghost appears to the guards in the same way as the book.
